Our professional teaching staff are college graduates with licenses/certifications and specialized endorsements; many have advanced degrees. They have received special training in the planning and implementation of our Center’s curriculum so that the children enrolled in our program have the benefit of a high-quality early education. Our teachers consider the individual needs of children, as well as the developmental needs of the group as a whole, when planning activities to implement each day. The staff at our Center feels strongly about the importance of providing children with the benefits of a consistent schedule and therefore, all children must arrive by 9:45am each day, unless the Director has been notified of a special circumstance.
The Center seeks to promote frequent communication between parents and teachers. There are two formal parent-teacher conferences each year, and parents are encouraged to speak with their child's teacher at other times as well. Parents may also participate in the monthly Parents' Advisory Committee meetings; just contact the Director, Jennifer Manuola, for more information.
Each week, the Director sends parents a Monday Memo e-mail and uploads the weekly lesson plans for the three classes to the website. Every month the Center distributes to parents a newsletter, and the monthly breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack schedule is also sent out.
Parents are encouraged to take advantage of the observation rooms, which are equipped with one-way mirrors that allow parents to watch their children at any time without being seen.
